Welcome back, Agents of the Imperium! As we get closer to the release of the Inquisition Guides, we’d like to give you a sneak peek of what’s included in this massive expansion for Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay: Imperium Maledictum.

The Inquisition Guides present a new way to play Imperium Maledictum, drawing on classic Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay experiences with a modern ruleset and up-to-date lore. The Player’s Guide contains a host of new character options, iconic Inquisition equipment, and introduces Familiars to Imperium Maledictum. It features a new Subtlety mechanic, adding depth and exciting twists to espionage-focussed adventures. The GM’s Guide contains the Heresies Macharia, a ready-to-play campaign and a full roster of sample patrons so parties can start playing immediately. It also offers plentiful advice for GMs, sector threats, contacts, and one-shot open case files that can all be easily inserted into ongoing adventures.

Players will be able to create their Inquisitor Patrons and acolytes from scratch or draw upon the new wealth of character options to improve their existing characters. For the Inquisition Player’s Guide we dug into the Inquisition’s past, drawing on iconic aspects of fan-favourite Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay supplements, putting together a full complement of the most iconic weapons and tools for player characters to use in their adventures. Use a Soulguilt scanner to aid you in your interrogations, or keep a Digital Weapon on your finger at all time for some extra hidden firepower. While these upgrades are expensive and rare, characters can draw upon their Patron’s influence to requisition them for use in the field.

Beyond the epic seven-part ‘Heresies Macharia’ campaign, the Inquisition GM’s Guide is brimming with modular content that GMs can slot into their existing adventures. Contacts can aid your players in finding the information they need to get ahead in their investigations. Sector Threats can act as a diversion to your campaign’s main focus, or choose one to be your party’s nemesis, always showing up at the worst time to throw a wrench into their plans!

This is only a taste of what the Inquisition Guides will provide. Both supplements require the Imperium Maledictum Core Rulebook to play, which is available now on our webstore. You can pick up a physical copy here, or a digital PDF here. For true servants of the God-Emperor, check out the stunning Core Rulebook Collector’s Editionhere.

The Inquisition Player’s Guide will be available for preorder this month, and will be followed by the Inquisition GM’s Guide preorder in November*. Watch this space for more news and notice when pre-orders will be available.
